Program Details
Our Adult Mental Health IOP is designed for individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric conditions. This program is ideal for clients who require more intensive support than traditional weekly therapy but do not need 24-hour residential care. Our Mental Health IOP is also appropriate for those who are transitioning from higher levels of care and need continued structured support to maintain their progress.
Our Mental Health IOP is offered at our treatment center in central Houston and is structured to provide intensive therapeutic support with flexible scheduling options. The program typically runs for 8 to 12 weeks, with clients attending sessions three days per week for three hours each day. We offer both morning and evening sessions to accommodate different schedules. Our approach includes:
Individual therapy sessions with licensed clinicians
Focused group therapy with peers
Psychiatric consultation and medication management
Family therapy and education
Holistic approaches including mindfulness and stress management
Mental health conditions can significantly impact quality of life and overall wellbeing, which is why our program emphasizes evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's unique needs. At Luna, our Mental Health IOP is directed by experienced clinicians specializing in mental health treatment and supported by our team of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and counselors.
Our therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-focused therapies, and mindfulness-based approaches. We also incorporate holistic elements such as stress management techniques, nutrition guidance, and sleep hygiene education to address the whole person. For clients with co-occurring substance use issues, we provide integrated treatment that addresses both mental health and substance use concerns.
Following completion of our Mental Health IOP, clients may transition to a less intensive level of care such as traditional outpatient therapy or our support groups. Our team will work with each client to develop a comprehensive aftercare plan that supports continued progress and long-term mental wellness. We tailor our recommendations according to a client's needs, preferences, outside support, and other factors that may affect their ongoing mental health journey.
Our compassionate admissions team is available from 8am-10pm to help you begin your journey to recovery.
