Melanie is passionate about helping people heal and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. With a background in critical care nursing and clinical documentation, she brings valuable medical expertise to recovery care. She is dedicated to supporting Luna’s clients through education on smoking cessation and health conditions that can impact recovery.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude, from Houston Christian University and has earned more than 30 graduate level credit hours toward a Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree. She became a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I) in February 2025, expanding her ability to support individuals navigating substance use and mental health challenges. She also completed an Associate of Applied Science in Human Services, Summa Cum Laude, from Lone Star College. Melanie uses a person centered approach grounded in compassion, empowerment, and individualized care to help clients move forward in recovery and wellness.
In her spare time, Melanie enjoys meditation, weightlifting, traveling, coffee, and spending time with her dog, King. She also values gathering with family and friends over sushi and creating lasting memories. As part of her client centered approach, Melanie encourages movement, connection, and engagement through brief walks with outpatient clients before group sessions. She is committed to lifelong learning, personal growth, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle that reflects the values she brings to her professional work each day.
