Professional Journey

Following a 25-year career in corporate communications and change management, Kathryn joined Luna in January 2026 as a Recovery Advocate. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Addiction Counseling and Co-occurring Disorders at the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies, with an expected graduation in 2028.

Kathryn is passionate about helping others find healing and connection. She has a special interest in grief and loss, as well as recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. Her approach emphasizes warmth, empathy, and collaboration, believing that recovery grows through mutual encouragement and shared strength.

Outside of Luna, Kathryn volunteers at Bo's Place and is training to become a Support Group Facilitator.

A lifelong Houstonian and proud mom to a 23-year-old daughter and a 21-year-old son, she enjoys group fitness classes, hiking in Colorado, walking her dog, listening to podcasts, reading, and practicing her faith.

In alignment with Luna's mission, Kathryn is preparing for a counseling career focused on helping others heal and thrive through compassionate, integrative care.
