Jay Kelley
Jay focuses on Luna Recovery’s day-to-day operations, financials, and business development. He works closely with HR and compliance to develop systems that optimize workflow for staff and improve outcomes for clients. He also oversees admissions for all programming at Luna.
Jay enjoys working with clients and their families to challenge current belief systems while helping them to identify and interpret irrational thought patterns and behaviors. He has also made several appearances on nationally recognized media outlets to advocate for individuals wishing to seek treatment for substance abuse and mental health issues.
A Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor specializing in substance abuse and family systems, Jay is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Present-Centered Therapy (PCT). He holds a B.S. in economics and political science from the University of Houston.
Outside of work, Jay loves being outdoors and enjoys hunting, road trips, and astronomy. He loves spending time in the Texas Hill Country with his wife, Allison, and their two French bulldogs. Jay is also a part owner of a company that grows and produces products from the rare Datil pepper. A portion of the company’s proceeds go toward funding treatment scholarships for those struggling with substance abuse and mental health.
