Chef Ben McPherson brings more than 25 years of culinary experience to Luna Recovery, where he blends professional expertise with a holistic, health-centered approach to food. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University with an AAS in Culinary Arts, Chef McPherson has earned recognition for entrepreneurial success, building and leading multiple number–one–rated restaurants and developing innovative food concepts that highlight ingredient integrity and balanced cooking.
In addition to his work in the kitchen, Chef McPherson has built a career as a consultant and teacher, guiding restaurants, food businesses, and individuals in understanding the power of sourcing and preparing food with intention. His cooking philosophy centers on minimal use of refined sugars and processed foods, instead emphasizing whole, nutrient-dense ingredients that support both body and mind.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chef McPherson is deeply committed to giving back. He actively supports and partners with charities focused on food access, recovery, and community wellness, believing that the healing power of food should be shared with those most in need.
Based in Houston, Chef McPherson balances his passion for the kitchen with a love for home life, where he shares his days with his Himalayan/Persian cat, Jack Nicholson.
