Zachary Collard
Zachary oversees the therapeutic environment where clients reside during treatment. This involves coordinating with counseling teams to develop impactful programming; caring for new admissions and conducting assessments; partnering with the medical team to coordinate quality care; protecting the welfare and safety of both staff and clients; empowering recovery advocates, housekeepers and other operations staff; and connecting families to Luna’s program for them.
Before joining Luna, Zachary trained at Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center in Houston. He is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Zachary studied chemical dependency at HCC Coleman College and received his master’s in social work at Tulane University. He also holds a master’s in computer information systems and is board certified in neurofeedback (BCN).
Zachary has a passion for bringing new treatment modalities like neurofeedback and neurostimulation to clients. He also has experience working with professionals and executives with addiction, as well as LGBTQ+ community.
However, Zachary says his most notable career accomplishment is turning his personal recovery from drug and alcohol addiction into a career. With firsthand insight into the recovery journey, he loves empowering others to be part of clients’ recovery stories and witnessing clients' progress and growth.
Outside of work, Zachary enjoys quiet time and traveling with his partner. They manage two Airbnb properties to help fund their travels and focus on self-care. The two of them love their Cavapoo puppy and two mini-horses.
