Rayne Mosher
After completing Luna’s Intensive Outpatient Program in 2016, Rayne discovered his passion for helping others with mental health and substance abuse issues. Today, he is the first person potential clients and their families work with at Luna. He coordinates with referral sources, helps clients get into an appropriate treatment program, coaches families on caring for themselves and for their loved one in treatment, and helps clients and their families navigate insurance reimbursement.
Because of his own experiences, Rayne knows how scary and uncomfortable it can be to seek treatment, so he makes it a point to be warm and empathetic. He listens deeply and meets clients where they are. Rayne also prioritizes enjoying his work to show others that there is hope on the other side of their struggles.
While working full time in another job and studying at the University of Houston, Rayne began his career at Luna as an overnight recovery advocate in the adult sober living program. He became a house manager for Luna in 2018 and moved into an admissions role in 2019. Rayne went from academic suspension at UH to graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications, an accomplishment for which he credits Luna, both as a treatment provider and as an employer. Rayne has also been through Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) and Case Management and Interventionist (CCMI) training.
A sixth-generation Texan, Rayne loves golf and has a rescue cockapoo.
